Hi! Welcome to our little
slice of paradise on Bull Shoals Lake. We are the Alexander's -
Ken and Deb. We bought Blue Waters Resort in April 2005 after
spending 23 years in Southern California. Ken worked in oil
refineries in Joliet Illinois and Los Angeles after serving 4 years in the Army.
I raised our 4 kids, 2 boys and twin girls, before working in the
aerospace industry and then in Christian gifts. After the kids
moved to Las Vegas and the suburbs of Salt Lake City, we decided it was
time to make our dream come true and buy a resort on Bull Shoals Lake.
We were lucky that this beautiful place had just come on the market and
it was perfect for us. We love fishing or just taking a boat ride on
the lake. We are very blessed to have some of the most friendly
and helpful neighbors we have ever had! People of the Ozarks and
lake people in particular are more relaxed and giving than most.
Our guests come back every year to spend their vacations here and we are
very happy that they have become part of our family at the lake!
We think that this is the premier place to relax and have fun. You can
do as much or as little as you please. We offer a balance of
privacy and seclusion with entertainment venues nearby. There are
no crowds or mosquitoes on our lake. With over 1000 miles of
shoreline to explore, Bull Shoals Lake offers crystal clear waters that
are excellent for scuba
diving, snorkeling, swimming, skiing or tubing. You can choose from
thrilling bluff jumping or private swimming in a secluded cove all your
own. You can even swim in Missouri and Arkansas at the same time
by anchoring your boat on the state line in the lake. If you prefer fishing, Bull Shoals is
stocked with all types of game fish including several types of bass, wall-eye, crappie, catfish, bluegill
and even trout just to name a few. Our friend, Fred Richardson, is
a fishing guide and his service is available with a reservation
or we will have the current hot tips from our local fishermen to point you in the right direction to
fish on your own.
We know you will enjoy the peace and serenity of being at one with
nature. You can watch birds, our little family of deer, turtles, possums, coons, squirrels,
armadillos, roadrunners, foxes
and more in the surrounding woods. There are over 6 acres of black
oak and pine to explore. You can fish from our dock or bring your
own boat.
If you don't want to drag your boat, we have 2 pontoon boats, a fish/ski
boat, and a bass boat for
rent. If you prefer to do some sightseeing, you can visit Branson
which is only an hours drive from the resort. There you will find
shows, water parks, restaurants,
Shepherd of the Hills outdoor theatre, name brand outlet malls and Silver Dollar
City. Don't miss the original Baldknobbers show or the new Dick
Clark theatre featuring the original Comets and Bill Medley from the
Righteous Brothers. When you are tired, you can return to your own private
retreat on the lake.
Fishing, Boating, Swimming, Picnicking,
Biking, 4 Wheeling, and Horseback Riding are the top
local activities enjoyed by all ages. But you can also visit antique and
craft shops, hike on one of many well marked trails in the Mark Twain
Forest, visit old
historic mills or just enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Ozark mountains
all around you.
Ken and I hope you will come
visit us soon and become part of the Blue Waters family!
